Best gallery space ever?

Copyright Keith Kenney, 2011

Susanna and I went to see a photo exhibit called Tbilisi. From the street we walked up dim and decrepit stairs. I was wondering what type of (desperate) person would exhibit his/her work in such a crummy space. But at the top of the stairs, we entered high, massive doors into a huge ornate room with ceilings at least 30 feet high. Photos measuring about 3.5-feet by 2.5-feet hung on the four walls. Red velvet covered beds and couches occupied the middle of the room. I then was asking myself what type of (creative/fortunate/ambitious) person would exhibit his/her work in such an impressive space.

The posters are still on the outside of the doorway. It is on Besiki Street, right near Rustaveli, directly across from Rustaveli Theater. The entrance looks terrible, but the inside is wonderful.

  2. Thanks for getting back to me on this. I hope to get a chance to check it out.
